The public is invited to an open house on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 to learn about proposed improvements to the intersection of SH 29 (University Ave.) at D.B. Wood Road in Georgetown, Texas. The open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, located at 1333 W. University Ave. in Georgetown. Williamson County, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation, will conduct the open house to gather public input and comments for the project. The City of Cedar Park and Williamson County held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Little Elm Trail on Thursday, January 26, 2017, 4:30 p.m. on the southwest corner of Liberty Oak Boulevard and Little Elm Trail. The project consisted of construction of a four lane divided roadway at gaps in Little Elm Trail and the widening of the existing two lane roadway to four lanes through the Red Oaks subdivision.

Williamson County and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) celebrated the groundbreaking of improvements to RM 620 Phase 2 Monday, December 12, 2016. The Phase 2 project is made up of two segments. The first segment is a TxDOT project from Cornerwood Drive to Wyoming Springs Drive. This roadway was widened as part of the Phase 1 safety improvements. The second segment is Williamson County’s project to widen the roadway from four to six lanes from Wyoming Springs Drive to Deep Wood Drive and will include new curb and gutter and a raised median.
