Terry firmly believes elected officials should be responsive to all of the people they represent. She is committed to making the duties and responsibilities of her elected office top priorities. As a member of the Williamson County Commissioners Court, Terry will be working tirelessly to ensure that the Court manages county business and its resources consistent with her vision for all county residents, which is that they be treated in a fair and non-partisan manner. Making certain that our county funds are used responsibly, Terry pledges to keep Williamson County a place where every man, woman, and child enjoys fulfilling and high-quality living, without onerous tax and debt burdens.
With a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University, Terry worked in research and high-tech industries for more than twenty years. Her extensive experience includes budgeting, managing people and projects, and negotiating contracts with both large and small companies. In addition, she was a Colorado Master Gardener in a county with the most extensive public outreach program in the state. To her list of credentials can be added planning and designing public parks, as well as management of open spaces. Terry has also gained a valuable business perspective as a small business owner here in Williamson County.
Terry strongly urges civic engagement for everyone. Throughout the years, she has been a volunteer deputy voter registrar for Bell, Travis, and Williamson Counties, registering voters from all over the region. She has also volunteered as an elections clerk and an alternate judge during Williamson County elections
Terry and her husband, Wayne, have called Round Rock their home for over eleven years. She enjoys interior and landscape design, unique dining experiences, traveling, Bible study, live theatre, and music.
